74 Cuda for sale?
« on: July 10, 2005 - 07:12:01 PM »
Ok, since i had a case of MADD at Carlisle this weekend and bought Mopar #87 (71 Roadrunner, #'s match, 383 auto with a/c) I am considering selling my 74 360 Cuda. It's a GB5 car, rotessorie restored car, all original panel car with exception of the front fenders (fiberglass and STRAIGHT). This car is TIGHT, looks great and runs out very well. 2 fender tag car, not #'s match. I'm not sure if i will sell it or find a way to keep all 3 cars, but I'll put the 74 up on here B4 i decide to put it on e-Bay. I'm looking for low 20's on this car, and it's worth it. PM me for more details and pics.

NZ, this car was rotessorie, so it's CLEAN underneath....I'm having trouble posting the resto pics since i have them from the previous owner and they were e-mailed to me. If you send me your e-mail add, I'll send them to you.

Good luck with selling it. Hopefully you find someone on here to buy it. Because I've got my car and on ebay and they're saying that $13,500 is too much for a nice driver Cuda or Challenger? I would suggest you put it on Hemmings or what not before you go to Ebay. Just my experience now.

O4lbram.....I checked out your e-bay auction site....you need more pics on there. To have a successful sale, you need lots of good detailed pics, with a VERY detailed description. Take it from someone who's sold a LOT of Mopars (74 Cuda is Mopar #86 for me) thru the years and knows the market pretty well, your car from the pics I've seen on this site is a 12-14K car. You need to market it better.

As far as my 74, if i dont get what i feel it's worth, I'll just keep it. This car is worth what I'm asking for it, rotessorie resto cars will always bring good $$$. Here is a pic of the inner fender of the 74...that will give you an idea of the resto quality of this Cuda.

Agreed - your pics are low-res and dark. I can't get much physical detail from them. The car has great lines and features; you just need to present them better. Ebay is all about pictures and placing potential buyers as close to the sale as possible without them actually being there.

Also, I am sure you have a lot of people "watching" it. Though not guaranteed, that can give you some intuition that serious buyers are waiting till the last minute.

I think 12-16K is feasible for the car and all that has been done to it.  FWIW, ck out the NADA results for a plain 383 auto 71 Chally.

Original MSRP: $3,021

Low Retail    Average Retail       High Retail
$7,200        $16,925               $26,525

Thanks guys. My camcorder sucks at pictures and I need to get a digital camera anyway lol. Actually I'm gonna try to edit my add and include a link to the 50 some pictures I have of the car. I was thinking $14k was good having the all the R/T stuff on it including the quad tips and if it doesn't sell then maybe God wants me to keep the car. I just pulled the console out of the trunk last night and that looks really good now that I put some Mother's Protectant on it. The lock on it is in good shape and everything. Anyways, not to go off topic but, I'm a big Mopar fan. I would love to restore my dad's 72 Dodge Charger Rallye 340. Anyways, I will try to go edit the ad. I've got about 35 people watching my auction right now and that was as of yesterday.
And oh yeah if I had the money I would love to have your 74 Cuda. I know most of your cars are awesome and now I'm kind of wanting a B-Body myself lol. I also have the car posted up on another site or two. Anyways, I hope you get what you're looking for your car. Yes I have already check NADA as well. Anyways, I'm gonna go for now but, thanks again for all the words and nice cars. Time to go answer some questions to these people asking about my car. Take it easy.
