4 Speed frame Pivot Bracket
« on: August 10, 2005 - 03:01:45 PM »
Hey guys, am currently putting a 4 speed setup in my 70 cuda, at the stage where I am welding in frame cons, torque boxes, new 4 spd tunnel, etc.  Before the car goes to the sandblaster I want to mount the frame pivot bracket for the clutch.  I just ordered a new one from Brewers but don't know how to make sure it is in the right spot???  The car has a small block with bellhousing and trans in it right now that I am using to mock up.  How do I make sure the frame pivot bracket is in the right spot, anyone have any measurements for me???  I don't have a Z bar yet as I am not sure which bellhousing I will be using down the road.  Anything else I should be welding in now for the 4 speed conversion?  Thanks, Tyler

the inner fender has the rubber cover over the area where the bracket is , someone should be able to take a pic for you

Thank. I appreciate it.  I'm assuming it is pretty critical to get it in exactly the right spot?

this is the only pic I have on my work PC  - right behind the green tape is the bracket.
it locates the Z bar so i would say it would have to be accurate, not presise.
