Bad weekend
« on: September 26, 2005 - 12:04:23 AM »
Had some bad news around here on saturday. Looks like my neighbor was on his way to work that morning
when a drunk hit his car door going about 60 though a red light. He leaves 4 children and a wife behind and although I don't know them all that well I know they are very nice people and are particulary family oriented and regilious.

Not trying to bring you guys down but I guess it's just hitting me right now. The bad thing is we happen to drive by the scene earlier that day and saw the wreck but it was so bad we didn't even recognize the car and know it was him.

Anyway, say a prayer for Larry and watch out at those intersections..

That makes it that much more worthwhile knowing that I took 3 DUI drivers off the street this week.

Some idiot kid did that here too. After being pulled over many times for DD he finally killed a woman last week.

That is something that the law has to address with some serious jail time, this guy will certainly get his due because of the traffic death involved. But jail time needs to come before something like this incident ! You can take their license for years if you want , but they will still drive drunk. I guess maybe there is no real answer to avoid this kind of tragic story, some people are just total losers and care less about anything. But some lengthly sentence and house arrest might get their attention.? Now what this family must go through for the rest of their lives because of selfish stupidity.

Unfortunitely it is very sad . . . . people are dying all over the world!      They need to put a breathalizer in every car and the driver would have to blow in it before the car would start.  But I'm sure someone would find a way around that too!

That sure sucks.
My condolences for his family, I hope he had a nice life insurance policy. Now that my kids are mostly grown up, I don't worry about that so much...but I sure used to.

They need to make that drunk's life a living hell for quite a few years, hopefully he'll be more responsible.

That's sad.  This story reminds me of what happened to 'Unlawfl'.  These situations should be taken care of prior to the drunks leaving the bars at night so nothing like this ever happens to those around them. >:(
