    so today i was going to start burning a cd and my comp froze up on me somehitng that i was used to so i was like eh ok ill turn it off and back on no it deosnt want to turn on so now i dont have a computer the rest of family rarely lets me on theres so I will be away from this site alot more than i wish I mean I love to just log on here and read the topics that people are posting even if im not posting anyhitng at all. So hopefully in the next few weeks I can talk my dad into helping me buy a new computer possibly me put $100 down and he pays the rest that way I can just pay him off instead of having to deal with some company that I have to pay money to. well hope you all have a good day or actually night now but i will be back when ever my parents are gone ill be on there comp.

    i had an old hp comp with xp on it. i kinda know why it crashed it was to old to handle everything i do on it from downloading music to wathicng music videos burning cds and what not although i think i managed to somehow when deleting a prgram it crashed and fried my hard drive ive tried everything i know to trouble shoot it even have gotten help from computer techs i know and nothing they tell me works. so time for a new comp

    Harddrives are pretty cheap these days, i got mine (10.2gb) for $27 (including shipping)

    i have a 120gb hard drive sitting in my closet waiting to be used but the computer i haverigth now cant supportit bc of its age and it lacks in everyhitng i need my comp to have i maxed out the ram at 190mb and i need atleast 2gb of ram and a new comp as been in my sights for quite a while bc this one i had the slightest bump to the desk would either make it restart or just freeze completely

    In reality, computers are getting to be pretty cheap. You can get a good one or about 400 bucks or less with monitor.  Sh!t the first computer I bought was over ten thousand dollars.  I still have it and it's not worth crap now!  lol  I was considering using it as an anchor for the pontoon boat!  Not kidding!

    ya I know computers are getting cheaper which is why I am going to buy a new one but all i need is the desktop since I have a monitor mouse and keyboardheck they can even keep the hard drive if they want if that will make it cheaper but hey two hard drives more memory which means i can have a butload of mopar pictures and a ton of songs for my ipod plus videos :)

     Yea 190mb of ram isn't enough for XP. You could always just upgrade the mobo and CPU then add a bit more memory. Just make sure your power supply is strong enough for the new mobo. If there's a Frys near you, they always have something on sale.
     I always run two hard drives, that way I have backups of all my Music, pics, guitar tablature, and important info on both of them. This way if a hard drive crashes, I didn't lose anything important.

    lol well this computer isnt worth upgrading in the first place its only got a 10gb hard drive so i maxed that out then its also like 6 yrs old outdated in the computer world and to small of case i ended up leaveing the shell off so that it oculd cool properly
