I averted sheer disaster with the transport company yesterday.
The transport company was supposed to call the owner/keeper of my cars 24hr before they arrived. Needless to say, the transport co. just showed up. Low and behold, the cars were not ready to go. One car was minus an axle, and the shipper was ready to panick. They called me to tell me that the transport company was going to call a wrecker to yank the car out of the yard and to the truck. He also said he could not get to the other car, and there was no papaerwork. I guess It had rained pretty heavily the day before, so it was pretty muddy where the cars were located. The transport truck nearly got stuck in the mud. Mind you this is all going onwithout my knowlege.
After getting this frantic phone call from the transport company .
I thought hard about the situation for a minute. Silence.....Don't panic!
I asked them  if they can pick it up on another day instead, so that the previous owner could get the cars ready to be loaded.
Here's where I got lucky.
Not only did they previos owner have the cars ready that evening, but the transport company had another pickup in the area and they could come back the next day!

Done deal, no sweat. Ask a simple question, get a simple answer. Cars are now on the way!
Stay tuned!

Cool story mate, fun reading and I'm glad all worked out. I've had 4 cars picked up and shipped. Only one thing went wrong for me, my Dads Jeep (replica of mine) was stuck in 4x4 & the mileage was up some 27 miles. lol
Can anyone say "joy ride"..... :-\ No dramas though.......

Bet you're excited as a pig in shlt!!! DMZ73 ------------->  :bananasmi
