What does the A05 protection group mean??   Was this the delayed headlight shutoff thing that kept the lights for set period of time?     

Thanks everyone for your help!!

A05 protection group has the equipment that I listed above.  Headlight delay is the L42 option and was available with or without the A01 package.

I always believed it to be a deputy because it has fixed rear windows (no rear window cranks)

In 1970 it it was called the Deputy, in 1971 they just called it a Coupe.  Same idea on the standard equipment but the options were expanded in 1971.

My 440-6 Challenger with N95 does NOT have N42, just as Galen corroborated with you, Richard. It has a plain rear valance without the dual chrome exhaust tips. I was told that California Hemi and six pack cars came from the factory NOT having the chrome tips, due to "excessive projection of flatulence" as opposed to a hushed, downturned sidebreath.  ;)

My rear valance has cut outs in it that leads me to believe the car was built in LA, CA but sold elsewhere.  Since I only have 2 owners to track back I’m trying to find out where the car was sold.
