My e-body and I have parted ways
« on: October 03, 2005 - 07:23:57 AM »
Well this weekend I said my final fairwells to the e-body. I have a buddy that wanted one to give his father for his birthday. His dad had a 70 for years and gave it to my buddy on his 16th he drove it till college and sold to pay for school. Well his dad had wanted another one so he bouth mine and gave to him. I was sad to see it go but was glad that it went to him cuz his dad is a real diehard mopar guy. his shop is full of mopar stuff. It wasnt as hard as i thought to let her go. I just a car right. He assured me I would be one of the first rides in it. And he told me that anytime i wanted to come by and help out in the restoration i was welcome .

So im down to the A-body but thats good i can finish it over the winter and start looking for a new toy this spring. I think I will go with a B this time.

I really appericate this forum (my mopar family) for always being true and there when needed. I have nothing but love for you folks.

I shall see yall when I see yall.
Warmest regards
Chris Roberts aka Biglove

Hey Chris, don't be sounding like you are saying goodbye, just cause your e E body is gone, you don't have to leave!!! I don't have an E body any longer and I am not going anywhere. I have switched to a B body myself and there hasn't been as much as one negative poke because of it (other than in fun). Keep us up to date what you are doing on the A body and if you find a nice B body. Just come and enjoy the site and put in your .02 whenever you can! What type of B you looking for? We can all keep an eye out for you.

Sorry to hear you sold your baby, but it doesn't sound like it ruined your week so big ups to you.

Im not going anywhere. Im just kinda sappy sometimes. I just wanted everyone to know how i felt about this site.

The Dart will be getting a new 390 hp crate a vintage a/c system and some new paint. As far as the b-body
im not real picky. The 71 72s RR are realy growing on me. The one that year one did is sweet.

Right now Im just going to concentrate the A

Rock out with your cock out.

Agreed. I had grand plans for my 73 along the lines of reacquiring all the good times i had in my first 73. When it sold i became my old self again - "joie de vivre" - and all that. I'd put myself in a corner mentally as well as financially. Sounds like you did the right thing as well and it's worked out all around. Good for you  8)

I got a phone call from the guy that i sold it to saying that his Dad broke into tears when he saw it. That makes it all better in my book. He said his started a list and called him 4 times that day asking ?s about it. Im glad he is so happy. one day i hope my kids do something like that for me.

That right there shows that you sold it to the right person!
If I ever had to sell my Challenger, I'd want it to go to someone like this, not someone that's just going to try to flip it on E-Bay a week later.
