Flip Top Gas Cap Identification Needed
« on: November 13, 2002 - 09:02:33 PM »
I just got this off eBay and now that it made it's way to my house, it looks to me like it may not be off a Challenger.  What do you all think ?

That would be the Charger one , the fuel is upside down for the Chall & I believe the base is different on the Charger ones

That is what I figured.  Should have done my homework before I bought it.  Back to the hunt  :)

Is something wrong with the one in the 2002 year one catalog, page 115 that says new Chrysler on it?  I need one too but figured instead of buying one for about what you paid and then having it rechromed I'd wait for the summer sale (20% off) and get a new one.

Now, can anyone set me up with a good trim ring?  Reproductions are reasonably priced though.

OK, are you saying there is a difference between what Year One marks as "New Chrysler" and NOS?  I guess new chyrsler could mean remade by chrysler but that shouldn't be too bad either - at least I would hope not.
