Workers Comp is a joke, there on the employers payroll. I'd go back to the Dr. and say the work your employer is having you do is making it worse. Then explain that they are having you stay on your feet all day, maybe even go home sick one day because of the pain, and go right back to the Dr. and tell him you had to leave work because of the pain and it's making it feel worse. Alot of times if you complain to the Dr. enough they will make your employer give you a sit down job, and if they can't do that then they might take you out of work all together.
It's all one big game to them.
I've strained my back so bad at work that I couldn't even put my own shoes on. Since my job is full of heavy lifting, there Dr. said I could work light duty. So I get to work and they say you can just scrub the shelves, including the lower ones!!! They are totally clueless when it comes to injurys unless you really make a stink about it!
Hope everything works out for ya.

You are absolutlely on the money on your opinion. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only worker's comp victim. Only reason why is because it really shows that there is a real problem on how patients are treated about their work profiles when they are hurt. Of course, not that I would want anybody to go through with what I am going through.

You are right about worker's comp. It's just another "feel good" program put out there by the white house personnel that most of them don't have a clue what its like to work a day in your life since they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth.

Even though my back went out at work last year it was an existing injury so was handled through my regular insurance.Luckily my company has disability insurance which will pay me 60% of my salary while I`m out the 2-4 weeks.

So you know what my manager said? She said that if it comes down to it, I could get the counter clicker and sit all day counting how many people come in. Yeah, I'll do it and not complain. But, I now know the real truth. They're afraid of confronting the Insurance Company and telling them that I am not ready  to start working yet.

Actually the company saves money by having you at work instead of staying home, even if you sit around all day and count people, read books, or just talk to customers etc.
It has something to do with workers comp and how much your employer has to pay.
So saving money is all they're worried about. Also alot of Bosses that get bonuses get a chunk taken out for every person that goes out injured, so there is ALOT of incentive for them to keep you at work.
Well, at least now you get to sit down, maybe bring a Mopar mag with ya LOL.

What a load of crap, poor TC!!!!!  Employers pay a lot of money every year for workers comp. insurance.  I have one employee that ears 26,000 a year and I pay about a grand a year for workers comp insurance.  Imagine how much money the insurance companies make.  I agree with the other posters.  Just keep complaining TC, until the doctors give in and say you cannot go back to work.  You are only going to make it worse if you keep using your leg.  I hope you start to feel better real soon.

Keeping you at work with minimal duties is not a bad thing proving they are not requiring you to do much walking and your company is covering your paycheck!

Today, I was able to walk a lot more normal. However, my company sent me a load of paperwork to fill out. So when did getting injured at work require an employee to fill out his or hers complete life story about a simple injury? Arrrgh!! 12 years ago, I was injured at work and this didn't happen. Anyway, I should be able to walk normally by mid week. I'm glad that this will be behind me shortly.

OMG, It just went out again. I was walking down the stairs, and my Calf just blew out again just like the first time. I told the lady on the phone when she called, that if anything happens, heads are gonna roll. I'm back to limp mode again.

They are demanding that I return to work. It's obvious that if they let me stay home to heal, that they made a bad decision the first time.(avoiding a lawsuit I suspect) So now, they said, "sit there at work and do nothing the whole day" "Don't even get up out of your chair."
