Here is an idea to think about when you find a potential E-body: do you want to hot rod it, regardless of how it came off the assembly line? (If so, then a 318 car could save you some $$ so you can drop that built 340 or go big block with a 440). I'd assume you'd be looking at a project car, so be sure to check the frame rails, torsion bar crossmember, and cowl area for any signs of rot or thin metal. (I've seen some where metal is there, but a slight tap with a finger or even putting a magnet on it would break through.) And of course, when you do find one, be sure to let us know prior to checking it out so we can kind of help you out. (like if the price seems fair, given what the owner has told you about the car, etc.)
