Ditto! I think this thread is fun to see if there is anyone we all recognize for whatever reason or if they associate with anyone we all know but I am with you 100% on this. I believe there are way too many people idolized because of their riches or glam or whatever. If having the choice to meet Ronnie Sox or one of those Hilton twins or any number of over rated celebs, hands down! Ronnie wins. (He usually does!) Ronnie just came to mind, there are many many other great people in the world, many right here on the forum. I know of a couple who are in Iraq, some are dads and moms, others work in their local curches or whatever, greatness isn't measured by wealth or glam.

Ronnie Sox is famous is he not? So he would count in this thread. Hiltons are famous, Carol Shelby is famous, everyone is getting confused with "Hollywood superstars" and people who are well known, if you famous you don't have to come from Hollywood.
