hello all,
I have been finding lots of old parts and stuff that I thought that I had lost over the years. I know that they are just small items, but perhaps are of more value these days. I took some more pics of my car and some parts but, I need to learn more of sizing the pics.
Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement.
I will continue to post under the newbe section until I am more comfortable with the site.
I have lots of dumb questions, and am somewhat apprehensive of posting. I was wondering if anyone was from Canada, specifically the Windor area. I used to know the mopar crowd in Windsor, but moved away for 10 years in 83, and lost track of alot of people.
Looking for friends N and D, who moved out of Windsor but still nearby though. Yellow chally convertible,(not his) and awesome AAR cuda(orange). Surely you guys must have found this site if I could. (lol)
Please touch bases if your out there.
cheers all,
Mikey

That's an interesting stripe on her.  Was that a factory offering, or added later?

hello ghost,
the stripe was added later. I don't think that it was an original stripe for these cars. I like the ones that began thin on the front fender and widened and turned down into a hockey stick shape on the quarter panel. I wouldn't know which models would have that type of stripe, except for the ones which represented the Hemi or AAR models. I just think they look cool.
Hey Rev it Up. I know there is probably alot of relatively simple stuff I could/should be doing myself but the body just aches alot these day, even though I'm just a 58 model lol. I love your Chally.
Should I grind some cancer off the surface of mine and buy some type of rust inhibitor to spray over?
Also, going back to parts stuff, I found stuff I don,t even know what they are anymore. I'm LUCKY that it didn't get takin out to the trash by my folks years ago. I not much of a mechanic, but fell inlove with Ebody cars in the seventies and never wanted to look at anything else. If I post pics perhaps someone could help let me know if I should even bother keeping anymore. I won't send you a picture of a carburator or anything that dumb. Most are small electrical motors, and trim stuff. Also some frame and bracket parts.
I agree with you guys on the new Charger. I wasn't too keen on the body style but loved the fact that DC was finally coming to their senses by reintroducing their bread and butter cars from the 60's-70's. (With of course the E bodies being the cream of the crop)
My first job out of high school was auto assembly at Chryslers and was looking for my first car. I liked a 1970 Mustang, but a fellow assembler came over with a newspaper with a buch of cars circled for me.
That was it for me. SOLD
I'm sure we all have our own "woulda, coulda, shoulda" stories from that time period. The pickins were good, but the power of the big blocks I found somewhat intimidating back then.(more so now I,m much older.)
Anyways, take care all as another nice day is shaping up and I need to get out and enjoy!
cheers
Mikey
