hood clearance help
« on: November 08, 2005 - 10:24:55 PM »
i searched through the site, but couldnt really find an answer to my question.  i have a 73 chally with a 318 that im just finishing the build up on.  my question pertains to the hood clearance.  im running an eddy performer dual plane manifold a 1 inch spacer and a mighty demon 650cfm carb.  the reason im running the 1 inch spacer is to accomodate the passenger side secondary linkage, that unfortunately rubs the heat riser area of the manifold (the spacer solves this problem).  with this extra 1 inch spacer will i be able to keep my original flat hood?  im assuming that small blocks are not as tall as a big block, but what do i know...lol

you may need to gring the manifold for clearance & take out the spacer
