Mirror confusion
« on: November 10, 2005 - 05:51:47 PM »
Ok, Now I'm really confused.
On a 70 Challenger R/T what would have been the standard drivers side and passenger side outside mirror?
Both of mine are missing. I assume if I had the remote drivers side I would have a cut out in th door for the remote.Would they have been chromed or painted?

Should they be listed on my fender tag?

standard was a single round mirror on the passenger door , the fende tag should list any upgrade from there , it will be a G code

Ok. I have no G code on my fender tag so I wold have had a non-remote mirror on the drivers side and the standard passenger side mirror. a Both of these would have been body color? and looked like this minus the remote?

The standard mirror was a  non remote mirror on the drivers side only, it looked nothing like the sport mirrors.

Not to be disrespectful, but if you are intending to restore your car the way you say you are going to, then you need to get a set of factory manuals, both the parts book and the factory service manual.  It is impossible to do it without them.

Mirror number is 2999553 superceeded by 3508991.  The numbers you are looking for on the door handles are 2999886 and 887.
