John,
there were 1,014  BH27 and  374 BS27. As far as I know all were built at Hamtramck. Hope that helps.

Hobo, is your car blue by any chance? I just seen a nice 71 convert for sale last week and it sold pretty fast.

All E-Body convertibles were made at Hamtramck, and starting with the 1971 model year all E-bodies were made there too.

Thanks for the info i was just curious about production. And yes Badfish the car is blue but it was a local sale that i have been cultivating for around 5 years. LOL i was persisent. But in the end i got my fish! I did not know they only built 1,388 convertibles in 71. WOW that could explain why they are so hard to come by. And also wait for the pics of this car the poor thing  was already half in its grave, i will spend the next few years maybe 5-7 years to restore

Thanks again everyone

Glad to see your persistence paid off... but, after all-

THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!!!

(Does anyone have that smiley lying around for added effect?)

(That is, unless the pics are in another thread, then I am very sorry!)
