    I was here before but sold my 73 Challenger 340 when my daughter was born and was not sure she was going to make it due to her being 16 weeks premature, happy to annouce she made it and doing good a year later. I am in Korea for a year and when I get back to Seymour Johnson AFB NC I am going to be looking for another Challenger (wife doesn't know that yet) so I figured i would get back here and look for a good deal. I do miss my car and hope to find another. Take care all.

    Bill, good to see you back again and that your daughter is doing well.  The best I can do for you at the moment is say to check out the for sale section of the site and go from there.  I don't think you'll be finding any decent deals on eBay anytime soon, so best of luck with the fellow members here who either have a car they'd like to sell or know of one. =)

    Welcome Bill, I wasn't around here when you were here before but glad you made it back! Thanks for your service in the USAF and glad to hear your little girl is doing well. I'll keep my eye open for that Challenger too! I have a grandaughter that was born 12 weeks premature and I understand fully the scare it puts into you! Here she is now at 8 years old on the 28th of Nov. She's with here little brother who is 5 years old.

    Thanks for all the warm welcomes and glad to be back. It has been a long journey and we are grateful to god, family, friends and the USAF who have supported my wife and I on this journey. Plum6Pak, you are so correct when you say long journey, 4 months in a hospital in Albuquerque was very stressful and demanding going there everyday not knowing if she was going to pull through but she did as you can see below and glad to hear your grandaughter did as well. Not sure when I'll be getting into another Challenger but will be looking when I return so can't really give a price range. It would have to be something like a fix r up r for sure, I looked at Ebay and there is no way a guy in the AF (enlisted) could buy some of those cars at those prices. Some people are really proud of what they are selling. But I guess if they were cheap then everyone would be driving a Mopar. I look forward to being apart of the Mopar family again when I return. Actually I still have a Mopar a  newer one anyway 04 Dodge Ram 2500 HEMI so I never really got to far away!! Take care to all and thanks again for the responses.

    Hope all is going well in Korea. I know how hard it is for an enlisted mbr to afford these old mopars. I will keep my eye out down here and if i come across anything i will let you know.

    welcome!  glad to hear your daughter is doing well.  I hope you find a car once again and enjoy it with your family.  Might be a problem though if your wife doesn't know about it yet..................

    Pink: I broke the news to the wife I had been surfing for a Challenger and she sighed and said we'd talk about it when I get back, sha wants to buy a house first then I get the toys. But thats not a no ;) ....

    Really glad to see your daughter's doing well.  Is that her in the picture?  She's a cutey!  I have 3 little ones and I know it must've been so hard seeing her in the hospital.  Thank God she's doing well. 

    Thanks for for your service in the military!  Guys like you help keep this country great!

    Well the good news is that the wife didn't say no!  Gotta get the house thing done first!  All 4 of you can't live in the Challenger!

    You never know.  My wife definately isn't into the car thing and when I found a Challenger I was shocked she said yes!  I looked in a local paper called the Want Ad and found a '72 Rallye for $4000 in decent shape.  You'll never know what you can find.  Just keep looking around when the urge for a Challenger comes!

    Thanks Super Blue,

    I am in no hurry to get another Challenger, I'll get one when the wife and kids are in a house. It'll happen soon enough. I have 4 1/2 years before I am able to retire and I'll need a hobby about that time, should be a perfect time for a car. She won't mind then. I wont be packing up and leaving for months and years at a time ever again. It's been a hard road but it is slmost over and look forward to staying home and spending time with my kids. No more sandbox tours or remotes and thats fine with me. I think it's time to let the young guys do this stuff. Thanks to all for the kind words.
