A show car, that is trailored everywhere, and only driven on and off the trailor.

A drag car does not qualify, because it is probably trailored due to it not being very street friendly.

you could also add cost effective to trailer!! Ghost! those drag cars get about 12 galllons to the mile!! burning alcohol! who could afford to DRIVE one of those to a car show!

I fully understand trailering a car say to Carlisle from a long distance, but can "safety" really be considered? Do you realize how vulnerable they really are? And towing a car actually leaves you very limited options for any evasive action with the tow vechicle. You get that trailer in any amount of fish tale action and beleive me you better have some experience with pulling a trailer! Trailering will mayby keep your car cleaner, and certainly keep the miliage down, but safer? I don't see that as being true. Perhaps CamJam could explain better than I.

While I cant say it's safer to tow, I dont think it's less safe either. If you are a responsible driver, and use the right equipment, it's not any less safe to tow as drive the car. I have a enclosed trailer, so that limits greatly the exposure to rocks and such when driving long distances.

My rule of thumb is usually if i can drive there in a hour or so, I won't trailer. If I'm going to be at the place of the show for more than a day or two, I always trailer since i have a place to put the car in the event of rain.

I think most of the comments so far have hit what a trailer queen is....a car that is rarely driven on the street, and has become for all intents and purposes a display car, not something that is driven.

I will always drive my cars locally....to me thats what's fun about them, driving them! I probably average around 1000-1500 miles a year.

I think no matter if you put her on a trailer, truck it or drive her, if your on the road there is a higher risk of accident today than ever before.

Less.  Think single digits.

I found out that some insurance companies will not cover your vehicle while it is on a trailer.  I think that it then is covered by the vehicle pulling the trailer.  This was about 5 years ago when I found this out pulling my brothers charger to the drag track.  Luckily nothing happened but was pretty nerve racking....your thoughts?

Usually the car's policy will cover the car while under tow, while the trailer is covered under the towing trucks policy. What insurance policy/company said they would not cover the car while being trailered.....I'll make a note to stay away from them.

You know they sure wont cover the car while it is on the track.  Thats one big reason I wont take my cars down the track....if the guy next to you loses it and hits you, you are on your own. There are race car policies, but no classic insurer will cover your car while racing on the track. Thats a risk I'm not willing to take on by myself.
