Was looking in my latest Mopar Collectors Guide last night which had about 15 or 20 '71's listed.  Prices ranged from 18k to 600K.  Also found a grille for my '71.....only 2K OUCH!!

I was lucky when I found my cuda a couple months ago 1971 'cuda $600.00 even though cars in it's condition are listed at 1000.00 and up. It needs lots of work and will need the entire front clip. But the cost to rebuild the car is less than the market value of buying a driver.
F Rustangs and Crumaros!!! 'Cuda,  the only way to go, except maybe a Challenger!

Boogie,

I told everyone I could that I was looking for a '71 cuda and eventually it paid off.  A car club friend of mine (and a local mailman) said he new of one just around the corner...go figure. The mailmen know where all the hidden cars are...lol,  It had been sitting for 7 years undiscovered until the cover finally rotted off of it exposing it to the world once again. I could have originally grabbed it for $13-15K but a couple of other people started inquiring and the owner got a little greedy. The final price was $20K.  It was in OK driver condition, but being it had been sitting neglected, I opted for a full restoration.  In my opinion it will be well worth the investment when I am done. She is getting the best of everthing that I can afford. Good luck in your search....they are out there.  You just have to look hard. And by all means, talk to your local police departments and mail men...they patrol the streets everyday. Ed

Thanks for all the replies! It may take years, who knows. I've even toyed with the idea of checking VIN registrations in my home state to see if I can locate my original car. I feel like Percival in the search for the holy grail.
