Questions
« on: December 01, 2005 - 11:37:17 AM »
Hi Guys - fairly new here. Not sure if I'm in the correct forum, either.

1. Did e-body Cudas with the hemi engine ever have air conditioning? I'm fairly certain that the convertibles did not but not sure about coups. Reason for question is I'm cloning a Cuda and considering putting in a crate hemi. Car won't be numbers matching anyway so might as well go all out!

2. Can someone tell me, isn't there a place that sells just fasteners, screws, etc.?

I am looking for the 2 "pal nuts" that hold the electrical bulkhead connection and fuse panel to the firewall for a 1970 Barracuda. Thanks for any help or leads.

Peace
Maxedwell

1970 383 Barracuda - probably going to be a Cuda clone...
I've got a long ways to go - will it be worth the wait and $? Time will tell.....

I'm fairly new too. But from what I understand, AC was available on all Cudas, except the Hemis.

1 - From the factory a 440-SIXPAK or HEMI engine did NOT come with A/C.

2 - Depending on what your after try this place: http://www.mrgusa.com/ or try www.eBay.com

No multicarb engines came with A/C from the factory....air cleaner to compressor clearance issues are the main reason, and those cars were considered "Max performance" cars and A/C would not be in line with that philosphy. So add AAR and T/A's to the list of non-available A/C cars, as well as any car equipped with a "fresh air" package.  IE  shaker hood, air grabber, etc...

.......true, sorry I was going to post it but didn't think it was necessary.  :grinno:
Unless the T/A car's needed the A/C on while doing 120 on a road track with their arm out the window sipping a milkshake.   :lol2:

Hee hee NZ, are you getting me back for some garbage I talked back in the day?

Seriously, I love the idea of someone running an E-body convertible in F.A.S.T. in the tens on a torqueflite with one arm out the window holding a milkshake!  I wish it were me! :burnout:
