Best rear springs for 71 Challenger RT
« on: December 04, 2005 - 10:40:07 PM »
I need to change out the sagging springs on my 71 Challenger RT and would like to get some that set a little higher than stock maybe 2 inches but still give a fair ride. If anyone has had any luck with a given amount of leafs and the company that made them please let me know. Mine looks ok till I load the car down then it starts to set pretty low. It still has the original springs so I don't think I want to re-arch 33 year old springs.

Eaton Spring in Detroit is probably the best quality using the stock 6/7 leaf suspension

I just put on a set from Espo. http://springsnthings.com/  I bought a 2 inch above stock height too. I love them. Much better than saggy springs with air-shocks.  :grinyes: Be sure to tell them what engine you have, as 440's and Hemi's have an extra leaf in the spring.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have went ahead and ordered new springs from Espo (springs n things) I got 1 inch overstock as I don't know how much my springs have sagged and I don't want it to sit up to high. I can't wait to get them on and I can't wait for spring so I can drive my Challenger and Cuda.
