Are your sure on all the codes? The car by the VIN is a '70 model, some stuff is listed that would only appear on a '71 tag and some of these codes would only be found on the broadcast sheet or window sticker. If the tag does look like that it is bogus.

T/Ake care,
Barry

Good catch!!  You never see steering wheels and steering boxes on the fender tag!

Hooked,
If you bought that car from someone that told you that tag and door sticker were original to the car they lied to you. That fender tag has more errors on it than any other bogus tag I have ever seen.

You have good grounds for a lawsuit if they lied to you.

Did you get a broadcast sheet with it?

I bought the car because it is a full up drag car, but was curious about the #'s matching block & dash VIN.  I was suspect on the fender tag with those codes, but I don't know E-Body stuff at all, so thought it wouldn't hurt to ask the question.  The car wasn't represented as a "V" code car when purchased, but was bought to feed my drag racing habit.

Well that is good then. Have you checked the body numbers on the cowl and radiator support yet?

The B37 code is actually R37.  The car does have the front torque boxes & does have the 4-Speed jump, pedals, & bracket on front frame rail.

Wow, that's one crazy fender tag!!!!!  I too was going to say something was fishy with it cause most of those codes were ones I saw when I was decoding my broadcast sheet for my '73.
