    383 CASTING # FOR HEADS

    Picked up a 68/383(non hp) engine last night and I pulled of the valve covers to get look at the casting numbers and this is what I found:  2951258.  I have researched for these casting numbers and have not been able to lfind out what these are.  Does anyone here know what these might be from?

    there was a 250 casting used for a short time betweem the 516 in 67 7 the 906 in 68 , check the casting carefully , probably a 250 casting
