Update on the resto and a few picutres
« on: December 11, 2005 - 09:11:17 AM »
Hey, here are a few pictures of the car I'm working on now.

Its the old man's 73 cuda. He bought it about 10 years ago. We stripped it down to the last bolt, had it painted and it sat in pieces for the next decade.

Finally got the Coronet completed over thanksgiving weekend so I started in on the cuda. We've gotten a lot done over the last few weekends. The toughest part was the dash wiring. The harness was chopped up by the previous owner and we added a ralleye cluster. Finally got that done last night around 2:00.

Here is some info on the car

It was originally a copper 340 4speed with white and shag orange interior.

now..

440 sixpack, I am not sure on the specs of the engine build because it's been sitting for 10 years but I remember him building it very stout.

4 speed

Dana 60 3.55 rear

(I tried posting some picutres but realized I cant to it from home.... I will add the picutres to this post tomorrow morning. )

sorry...

OK, here are a few pictures... Sorry for the wait. We had a 6 ft drift of snow in front of the garage for a couple weeks. It made it a little tough to push the car in and out

I need to find a repro or nice woodgrain steering wheel. Anyone know if year one sells a repro?

A shot of the motor with an M1 single plane. We're slowly piecing together a sixpack setup for a little "wow" factor.

I am going to miss the shag orange interior...

I got the headliner in and dash back together last night but didn't take any pictures. I am amazed everything works! Horns, blower, wipers... thank god thats over with.

The new door panels should be in this week so I should have the interior done by next weekend. We might drop the motor in next weekend... Not sure if the bobcat has enough oomph to lift the 440 though

We didnt want to put the AAR logo on the car with the rest of the stripe so we are having a sign shop make a new graphic similiar to this pic that I put together in photoshop.

Boy the Cuda looks great and boy are you going to have fun when it's done. I think the stripe is a great addition to the car and you will get alot of questions about the car. Good luck getting it done and keep us posted with pictures of your progress.

Let me know if you want to sell of the M1 intake. I'd be interested in it. Nice job! :woo:

A383 Cuda,

I am going to have to keep the intake for a little while until I have everything rounded up for the sixpack. I will let you know.

Thanks
