440 SIXPACK choke
« on: December 13, 2005 - 05:08:36 PM »
The choke on my 440-SIXPACK isn't working right. The rod that opens the choke plate on top has a rough spot and won't let it close all the way when the engine is cold, or open all the way when it warms up. Lots of black smoke and a rough running engine!!! Has anyone else had this problem???

Yup
a true 6 pack choke has an adjustment in the bi metal coil start there , you may also have to tweak the rod a little to get it to work soothly

I work on a lot of 6 packs , the center post that holds the bi-metal spring can be rotated to adjust closing pressure this may help
