Changing a 70 Rally dash to a 72.
« on: December 25, 2002 - 05:04:17 PM »
 ;) Hello All,
I'm about to commit a sin. I want to take out my 1970 Rally dash gauges and replace them with gauges from a 1972. I bought a set on E-bay that look much better than my original, and I couldn't resist. Here's the problem. The speedometer cable on the 70 dash is apparently smaller in diameter than the 72. Do I need to buy a 72 speedometer cable now, or is there some sleeve or something I can put on the original cable to make it work? Thanks for any response.

Pistol Gripper, you are sooooo on top of it!!

MEKrunner, if you are interested in parting with your tach (if it's an 8 grand), I'd sure would be interested in it.

Thanks!
