Ok, everybody, I know my car is controversial, and I have taken some flak on it, but for the record, the complete VIN has been found on the broadcast sheet pieces along with the N96 code, so I am relegated to having a factory freak car. [1971 early production export hemi orange Challenger]. I am continuing to reassemble the mice nest shredded sheet. My current question involves the fender tag. For the first time (if you can believe that) I finally removed the fender tag and found a strange stamping on it that I did not notice before. It is a reversed stamp apparently made from the top of the tag, but readable from the bottom - or underneath the tag. It appears to be the number "16". See pics. Does anybody know what the heck this means? Thanks.
