Wheel offsets..
« on: February 05, 2006 - 03:45:14 PM »
Anyone know about how many inches inside your wheel can come on the front and back of an e-body... say stock suspension. i know you can make more room with coils on the rear and mini tubs... but bare bones factory. anyone know thier offset and width and can see its close?

And yes.. i know tire size is going to matter. so for the sake of argument, figure its a low profile with a straight sidewall. i dont have a car to measure on, just wondering.. if i got a set of 10inch wide wheels i would assume it would take 7-8 inches towards the suspension... just curious.

You've got 12" clear to play with. As you said, tire size must be considered & backspacing is critical. See my reply to this thread. http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=16197.0
