Heres an update.  The short block is done after waiting many weeks for a Milodon oil pan to finish it.  I installed the hydraulic roller lifters aftering doing some grinding in the lifter valley for clearance.  The heads are on but I have to check pushrod clearance before I torque them fully.  I went for one of the new Holley Street HP carbs with vacuum secondaries.  Things are finally coming together!
