By 2nd generation I take it you mean 71-4 model years? And compared to what year challengers and Chargers?   The 71 model year cars are the most valueable of the 71-4's across the board. The 72's are next, and the 3-4's follow, again across the board. I'd say the Challengers are the most valueable, followed by the runners, then the chargers. This is comparing cars similarly equipped and in like condition. A 71 Runner is going to more valueable than a 73 Challenger, given like equipment.

I've owned an example of all 3 of these cars, the runner was my favorite (440-6 4 speed air grabber car). I'm always on the lookout for a nice 71 challenger with the wide hood molding.  I love that molding package!

Sorry, I should have worded my question better. When refering to Chargers, I meant 2nd Gen and to all year's of Chally's. I like the runner body style alot and was wondering if one could be found in similiar condition to a 71 Chally and 68-70 Charger for a more reasonable or cheaper price? Thanks.

Yea, the 2rd gen Runners are cheaper than 71 E bodies or 2nd gen Chargers, if all the cars are in similar condition, and have similar options.  However, you can get a 318 Challenger cheaper than, say, a 440 71 Roadrunner.
