Need a quick indentification lesson on 440'S

Goin to look at a car later today with a transplanted 440. I think was a 383 originally but wont know till later. Whats the ez/quick way to tell what vintage 440 it is. Dont know if it has originall intake/carb setup. THANKS in advance fer yer help! :dunno:

Check the boss or pad by the distributor. There should be a letter designating the year followed by 440.

B = 1966
C = 1967
D = 1968
E = 1969
F = 1970
G = 1971
H = 1972
J = 1973

440's were available until 1978 but i'm not positive of the letters for 74 through 78...
