73 Cuda front bumper
« on: January 05, 2003 - 07:43:00 PM »
I have a 1973 Cuda and I have a 1 inch gap between the front bumper and the filler panel. You can see the back of the bumper. The bumper brace casting numbers are as follows left 3686059 right 3686058. Are there more than one set of front bumper braces for 1973? What do I need to replace to get rid of the gap?

Have you  tried loosening the bumper bolts  & sliding the bumper back ? They are adjustable

My 73 has about a 2" gap.  I dont believe that there is a filler panel like on the rear.  They dont tuck up nice and close like the rubber ones do.

I have already tried to adjust the bumper, it did not help. I have seen close up pictures on web of 1973 Cudas that had no gap between the bumper and the filler panel and I have seen some that have a gap. How do I get rid of the gap?
