Nice Die Cast 1:18 scale Cuda
« on: January 18, 2006 - 12:20:24 PM »
Hi guys,

For those into die cast cars, Toys R Us has a nice 1:18 scale 1970 Cuda in thier Pro Stock series.  It's Sublime, has AAR graphics (no spoilers), KeyStone Klassics with wide "rubber" out back, partial roll cage.  I haven't opened it yet  but it looks like a dual quad set up under the Six Pack hood, 4 speed tranny.

It's a limited run of 1600 units, this one is supposedly available only at Toys R US.

Some Toys R Us stores are closing so you can get 20% off right now.  Got this one for $15.99.  (In MA stores closing are Cambridge, Dorchester, and Medford.  You might be able to call and have them hold it for you.)

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I found this 71 at Wallmart a while back.  It's not that accurate, the engine is a 340-6, but, still, it's pretty good.

Also attached is a 63 Dodge 330 that you put together yourself, in about 5-10 minutes, and my 1/18 Muscle Machines collection:  69 Dart (sold as a 68), 69 Charger, and 64 Fury.

Yah, unfortunately they only get like 2 at a time as far as I've seen.  When the had the Prostock Camaro they got a few batches in at the store I frequent so your store may get more since I think the Cuda just came out.

Do you guys remember the days when Toys R Us used to have almost a full isle of these cars?  Must've been close to 10 years ago.  They probably had at least 20-30 in stock.
