Pics by PM
« on: February 18, 2008 - 09:53:55 PM »
Another member here, Travis and I have been sending PMs to each other on some pictures I needed to see and the thought of sending them by PM came up. Now I do know from past from another member that pics can be sent by PM, but I don't know how. Anyone know what it takes to do it. A Hyperlink I guess  :clueless: and how?

i have been using imageshack.net for all my uploaded pictures so they'll actually last on this site for future reference.
It's very easy to use, and to send them through a pm is just as easy.
If you need more details let me know

I can resort to sending a link if necessary like photopucket. I've used Imageshack before also. But not for that. I'll check into it.

hmm...no PM test area.

No need to practice if you have used imagshack before.
It's the same as including a pic in a reply, it's  just in a pm instead.
Copy, and paste the hotlink text, and done!

Hey topcat, if you are sending a PM and you have an image hosted on imageshack, copy the link from imageshack, paste it into your PM between the image tags [I M G ] http://www.imageshack.com/*****[/ IM G]

On the top of the emoticons, there is a little button below the italics button that looks like a picture, click that and paste your link between the tags that come up.

Hope that makes sence..lol, this way the image will come up in your PM and they don't have to click on a link.  :2thumbs:

Yeah it works really good, that way you don't have upload to the site, saves space on here, and comes up in the body of the message. Plus if you find a pic on the net you want to post here, you can right click on the picture, click on properties, and copy the exact web location of that pic, and post it on here same way. That way the pic will come up in your message, and not the  webpage the picture came from.  :2thumbs:

I saved your info to a file so next time I can do this.  :2thumbs:
I know this person who puts up like 20 pics of an item on ebay all at once and wasn't getting charged for but just one pic. This seems like a much better way.

Dave's on the ball, just add the [img] tags in the correct locations and send.
You can also do it in the text box when posting normally in the forum.

Got any photos you can send to me as a test? Perhaps some Daisy Dukes? :naughty:
