Bypass Hose Problem with Magnum Conversion
« on: January 15, 2006 - 09:06:58 PM »
I just finished the installation of the Edelbrock Magnum heads and intake on my 360 "LA" (now 408) engine.  There was minimal problems adapting it to oil through the pushrods.  However, I just noticed that the Magnum intake manifold port for the bypass hose comes straight out instead of at 45 degrees so the moulded factory bypass hose won't fit.  Anybody got a pic of a Magnum bypass hose?  I think the water pump outlet is in a different location on the Magnums.  Any ideas?  A moulded hose  is required because things are tight.

Thanks for the pic.  It looks like yours is set farther back on the intake which would work.  Perhaps I can shorten the hose as things are kind of kinked.  I ordered a magnum hose just in case I have to splice 2 hoses. Silly little problems.
