Are there any numbers on how many cars were produced, by color, for the 1970 Challenger T/A?

I do know that there were 2400 produced with 1411 Automatics and 989 4-speeds.

The generally accepted figures for T/As are 2400 for sale in the US and 118 additional ones for Canadian sale. They were available in 20 different colors, the one in you photo appears to be EF8. There is no way to know how many T/As were built in any given color. The last time I counted, (December) here are the current totals of known T/A colors for cars that are currently in the Registry;

Paint codes � Out of the 1144 T/As currently in the Registry, I have paint codes for 951 of them so far. They include;

BL1 - Beige - 9 known.
DY3 - Cream - 12 known.
EB3 - Light Blue Metallic - 25 known.
EB5 - Bright Blue Metallic - 72 known.
EB7 - Dark Blue Metallic - 2 known.
EF8 - Dark Green Metallic - 28 known.
EK2 - Go Mango - 79 known.
EV2 - Hemi Orange - 93 known.
EW1 - White - 33 known.
FC7 - Plum Crazy - 107 known.
FE5 - Bright Red - 88 known.
FF4 - Light Green Metallic - 31 known
FJ5 - Sublime - 58 known.
FJ6 - Green Go - 54 known.
FK5 - Dark Burnt Orange Metallic - 61 known
FM3 - Panther Pink - 67 known
FT6 - Dark Tan Metallic - 12 known
FY1 - Banana - 92 known
FY4 - Gold Metallic - 15 known
TX9 - Black - 13 known.

67 Panther Pink T/A. WOW I though that was a rare color. I was told that there was only 7 made in that color.. Well you learn something new everyday...

Yeah, they are not rare at all. Some folks are still willing to pay extra for them though. Panther Pink was a mid-year introduction, it came available shortly before The T/As were available. Since the T/As were a "must build" to qualify the race cars for the SCCA, they used a lot of the T/As to promote the new color. There were very likely well over 100 Panther Pink T/As made.

Some day I hope to know for sure.
