TTI Exhaust for the Cuda
« on: February 01, 2006 - 07:08:45 PM »
I was thinking about getting the TTI 2 1/2" X pipe system since I already have their headers.  I noticed that this system requires the 70-71 4 speed reverse rod.  Which one is this?  My car is a '73 but who knows which rod I have.  It's the one  that looks like a big fish hook.  Anybody know the difference?

I have the TTI  manifolds back 2.5 " exhaust , but with the H- pipe.  Didn't offer X-pipe when I bought.  If I remember right it is kind -of fishhook.  TTI recommended a place called Hemispherical Productions for the rod.  I think it cost about $30 , was new, and bolted right up.  Mine is on a '74.  I thinkk I got the wife of Hemi Prod. on the phone , nice lady. It took 3 weeks i think between shipping and waiting a week for him to make a few new ones.

I can crawl under the car in the next few days if you need to know specifically if it is the fishhook style.

Thanks.  I'm trying to figure out if the fish hook style interferes or not.  Let me know if you get a chance to get under the car.

If there was interference I'm guessing my only choice would be to get the other style of reverse rod.  I'm trying to avoid having to do much running around at that stage.  Summer is short here as you know CP!  :) Although with the mild winter we are having so far I am tempted to bring the car home early from storage.
