Welcome to cc.com!  Gettin' an e-body!?!?!  SWEET!!  I haven't done it yet be I would assume not very difficult.  I plan on building a ralley dash complete here one day as I believe I have most of the parts already and then install it in my cuda convertible.  But if you are planning on using your existing frame and just try to install the ralley cluster, then I believe all you have to do is run 1 or 2 wires and thats it!  Hope you enjoy the site!

You need to change to oil sending unit on the engine, change the light to a push on terminal for the dash oil pressure gauge, run a wire from the coil through the bulkhead to the tach and add a wire for the clock.  You will most likely have to unwrap the harness to free up some wire length for the turn signals also.

It's not a big job, but unfortunately that oil pressure sending unit is a bit pricey.

Thanks guys for the input.I just cant live with the non ralley dash and was worried that it may be a big deal to switch it.The car is a 1970 cuda with a 318....Numbers matching....big deal hey,its only a 318,but they do match.I am going on Wed the 8th to look at it.The story goes that it is origanal, only been painted once. All origanal metal.85,000 miles.I think he will take $20,000 cnd close to $16,000 usd, what you guys think?fair price or should i hold out for less?

The rallye light bar is different than the non rallye as well so be sure to put that on your list of conversion items.

I can't believe the money the rallye light bars are bringing right now.

You better see what a rallye cluster is going for nowadays as well. This might just stop the conversion process.

If I stay away from ebay i just might find something reasonable priced.ebay is nuts.I think I may be able to track down a whole complete ralley dash local.

If you are going to put it in with the dash still in the car, there are some precautions you will want to do. After splicing all the wires to their perspective locations, and that you are ready to put the covers on, it can get tricky. The covers are a tight fit to interlock with each other. You will find it very easy to scratch the painted wood grain. Be Very careful!! The wood grain paint is very thin and you can't touch it up and make it look good.

The dash wiring harness is the same connector wise as the non rallye, it just has the added wire in socket 20 for the tach and the terminal end for the oil pressure gauge instead of the light.

Make sure the steering column is lowered and you shouldn't have a problem.

Do you happen to have the part number for the sending unit?
