Had my chance for an srt8 300 today
« on: February 09, 2006 - 03:36:27 PM »
I took my father in law to the chrysler dealer today in my 48 Lincoln conv coupe to look at getting him a 300, after looking around the lot we headed back to my car to find a crowd of chrysler emploies around the car. after talking to them and showing them the V12 with the 2x2 intake the manager of the store asked my father in law if he would trade it straight across for a new srt8 300 of his choice, he told them it was mine and he made me the same offer, I told him I will think about it, actually I have to wait till my wife is gone so I dont get shot, glad she doesnt know the combo to my gun safe. She leaves for Albaquerque for 2 weeks this sunday. Hopefully they are still interested.

Panda---they are car dealers.  If they made the offer,  they will still be interested.  Wait em out a little bit, and they might even sweeten the pot a little more.  BTW--the car you have now is beautiful!   Let us know what you decide to do..    :cooldancing:   ...Oldschool

Tell them you also want a daily driver thrown in, like an srt-4!

Check out this guy in a mach1 trying to take one down. Please note I said trying, buddy of mine has one as a daily driver and it is a lot of fun.

I'd keep the current car you had. Now, if it was an 08-09 Dodge Challenger SRT8 then I would say go for it.

Id keep your car, Its gonna gain or hold its value as the 300 loses it.

Thats what my wife finally beat into my head, I just get real tired of constantly working on the ignition system, If you have ever had a chance to work on the Lincoln V12 ignition system you would know what I mean. Beautiful car but should have hot rodded it while I was restoring it. Heres a picture of the engine, Ive been driving it with the top down all this week, Love this california sunshine.
