Ok, bought this car last year around this time. I started by stripping everything off of it except the glass, and cut out all the rust, and put it on a rotisserie. That is as far as I got. I had to pull another project out of storage, and ended up starting on that. Now the barracuda has to get out and I don't have time for it right now.
Anyway, the car needs a trunk pan, trunk extensions, quarter skins, outer edges of the outer wheelhouse, an easy patch to the lower lip of the tail panel, patches around the trunk lip, a drivers front inner fender, an extension peice between the tail panel and the quarter, and a patch around the hinge mount on the pass front inner fender. Everything else, firewall, roof, floors, rockers, etc. looks extremely solid.
I have new replacement trunk pans, extensions, outer wheelhouses, quarter skins, that have been rough trimmed to fit, and the drivers front inner fender. I also have pieces to fix the trunk edge from another car.
I have probably 95-98% of the rest of the parts to complete the car. It was missing a couple small items, like the washer fluid bottle, and I mangled a few parts removing them, like the brake cables, mostly stuff you would replace anyway. Also, the torsion bars are no longer.
It was a 318 auto car. I have the stock auto, and a 360 out of a truck that will go with it. It had a 318 out of a coronet in it when I bought it, and I had it completely rebuilt w/ a truck cam for a jeep, although it's still on it's stand. I may consider selling the 318 with or seperate. 8-3/4 rear, not sure on gears. Non power disks, with an SSBC non power disk kit. Power steering, Non A/C. Console and buckets.
It is a great car to restore/ do a restomod on, which was my plan. When I bought it I thought I'd be able to drive it while I restored it, but my nature is to do it right all right away so that didn't happen and now I don't have the time anymore.
Here is what I have into it: $5700 for the car, like $200 for the title service, about $800 for the replacement sheetmetal, and around $350 for the steel to build the rotisserie.
I don't know what it is worth in the condition it's in (at least you know it's exact condition, nothing is hidden), but I'll probably hang on to it if I can't get within a decent amount of what I have into it.
If anyone is truly interested I can answer all questions as best I can, and get pictures. Make an offer.
It is located in the U.P. of Michigan. About 2hrs from green bay, wi and 2hrs from the mackinac bridge.
