I have a set of 15 x 7 Magnum wheels and am wondering what is the widest tire that will safely fit.

ask the tire manufacturer , they list the rim size for a given tire

....and/or go into your local tyre shop, they have the charts.

Just a guess I'd say 265 would be you top width.

I've seen lots of 275/60/15 on 7 inch rims. I would think this is about as far as you could go.
