Trade my stroker for a 426 Hemi?

I was hanging out at a shop the other day and noticed a 426 Hemi with 2x4 ram and dual 850 Holleys,mag, in a flatbottom boat. I asked the guy if he was selling it and he said he would let the motor go for $9.5K. He didn't know that much about it, and hasn't started it up in a few years so I would think a rebuild would at least be in order. I have about $6.5k in my stroker motor(Keith Black 4.375 crank, Hemi NASCAR Rods, Venolia 11.0:1  .020 pistons, STGE VI alum flowed heads, full roller motor with a 950 Holley) that I am negociating a trade deal on. It's mainly going to be run on the street and I'm not going to race it regularly,  should I trade for the motor?

I don`t think I would be in a big hurry to trade what sounds like an awesome built & known engine for an unknown engine just because it is a Hemi , I woiuld want a lot of info on the Hemi before I went further with it

maybe if i had a hemi car that needed that year of engine otherwise i would go with new. he is asking a 1000 less give or take for that one.
