70 Cuda upper roof rail weather strip problem
« on: February 18, 2006 - 12:03:52 AM »
I had been trying to adjust my rear quarter windows on my 70 Cuda with new softseal weather strips for 2 days and could'nt get them adjusted right for nothing. Today it dawned on me to put my old original weather strips in and see what I could figure out. Well with the old weather strips back in place I was able to adjust the windows to close just fine. Has anyone else had a problem with the softseal brand upper door weather strips not fitting properly causing the windows to not seal properly. I'm not sure if this is a problem is with the material being to hard which will not give enough when you roll the window up or a design problem. If anyone knows of another company making these also maybe they make a better seal which is closer to the original in softness which will have more flexibilty and not be so hard that it will not let the window close properly.
