Sterling Marlin Fan here ,he's one of the Last Good ole boys of the Sport, He got Dodges first win back in the sport   But Chip Ganassi Racing screwed him out of a Dodge and forced him back into  a C***Y

Still watch some, hard to stay focused when you root for the Pettys . glimmers of hope now & then , only to fade away before year end , lots of changes over there this year , am I set up for a repeat or is there really a chance that they will be competitive?
Seems dodge still has some catching up to do, but hopefully they will overcome!  Rich.

Nascar is ok, but not near as good as it was back in the days of the Petty's, Pearson's, Yarborough's, and Allison's.   
 Now NHRA is better, but it is getting the same way.  All the corporate involvement and rules have just about priced the regular guys out of the sport.  Just look what they did to the Pro-Stock trucks...  They let a bunch of folks dump a ton of money in building them, and then abruptly cancelled them.  NHRA is like Nascar in that respect,  you don't have a snowball's chance if you don't have mega-sponsorship.  Just my 0.02...       ...Oldschool

Dirt track racing is pretty big down here, and in retrospect, it's getting the same way with it. Even for the small time guy in the lower classes.  It really stinks!

Nowadays, if your Daddy raced years ago, you can get a sponsor because Daddy used to win races back then.

not into high bank Nascar racing with restrictor plates usually goes somelike like 40 cars running within inches bcause no one can get away then 1 flat tires or spin & 38 cars are out of the race .... boring !!

I still watch some but have been slowly losing interest.It was good to see Dodge back but they have lost Sterling and Jamie Mcmurray and now Dork Busch is driving Rustys old car! :pullinghair:Ryan Newman had a good car and about the only Dodge running up front.It`s definitly changing for the worse and with Toyota and maybe Honda coming in I`ll be watching even less of it.

You're right , Oldschool. Back before it got all Glammed -up, you could actually go into your local dealership and order the car that you saw win the race!!! Good luck trying to do that today. .... What's up with Toyota? Are you guys serious?? What kind of motor will they run??

Me too!  It just doesn't look right driving the #14 Gatorade C**vy!!  I heard that it was Coor's that screwed him....saying that the market for coor's beer was a younger generation and not "50 year old older guys".  They said they wanted a younger, more competitive driver.  I hope David Stremme will do ok for them.  It lookes like he might have some potential.
