8 3/4 Axles
« on: January 06, 2004 - 04:51:38 PM »
I am trying to swap the center sections on my 8 3/4 rear I have the passenger side axle slide out. but on the drivers side the axle comes out about 1/4" then seems to be stuck. Am I missing something or do I need a slide hammer? Or maybe someone has a trick? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!!!!

Sometimes the bearing sticks in the housing. You might need a slide hammer to pull it.

mine came out no problem, there shouldn't be anything else to do but pull.

Thanks for the info guys I will try all the above. I think I will go with Chryco's advice first since it will be the easiest after that it gets the slidehammer.

THANKS!!!! :D
