    This could be a long shot.... a very long shot but maybe a very long (LONG!!) hood mounted tach??

    How's about the larger engine callout emblems... like on a Charger hood?  I've seen those on e-bodies sometimes...

    Or some doorknob put the "Barracuda" emblems on there... ;)

    I had an Opel Ascona once and it had some kind of wind deflectors on both sides of the hood. About 3/4" high. Maybe that´s what it was?
