This topic of classic insurance was around  a couple weeks ago. Taylor also was mentioned and I intend to talk to them in a few weeks when mine comes up for renewal. Right now I'm with Grundy and have no complaints, so far I've just sent them money once a year, they'll happy too !  :roflsmiley:

I'm with Classic Insurance right now. Got on board with them last year, not as restrictive as some of the other insurance companies.

I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico! (Though I don't know how they fare when it comes to appraisals of classic cars. Hope I don't get into an accident!   :o  )

I could not Geico to give me an approximate value for one of my cars. I asked to speak to the adjusters but was told they cannot speak to a customer unless you had a claim in.
I do use them for my newer stuff, but do not trust they would pay replacement value for an older car.

I have Hagerty for both of my cars...after three years so far so good. I did breakdown once and they had a flatbed there in about 20 minutes to bring me home. Can't beat that kind of service. They are also very fair about their agreed value of your car. You and they get to decide together what it is worth and insured for.  When I called I made the mistake of saying I had a 71 Barracuda....big difference from a 71 'Cuda.  $17 vs. $45k.
