Thanks for the pix!  next time you have a tape measure, would you measure that for me?  From the bottom to the masking tape line?  Thanks

Hi,  Sure I can measure it for you but if you still have the moulding clip nail
heads on your rocker panels those would make a perfect guide as to where
to mask. I'll probably get back out there tomorrow aft.    Jeff

Upon further review I scrapped the paint off on both sides of the line and there is definately black UNDER the y9
and only primer under the black.

They painted both the rockers and the tail panel (Organosol) before the body was painted.

It is hard to see it, which I guess is the point of doing it, but I found a couple of pics.

Hi, Here are some measurements and pics showing how I took them. The first is
from the bottom of door gap to top of the blackout which is 7/8 inch
Next one is bottom front fender right behind wheelwell opening 2 1/8 inches

Next is about half way between the two fender bolt holes 2 9/16 inches

The last is the back of the fender at the door gap edge 2 3/4 inches

All of these fender measurements are from the masking line(3inch on tape) to the very

bottom crease in the fender where it folds in parallel to the ground. In the pics
the fender is off the car on saw bucks. Hope this helps   Jeff

So it looks like the rocker molding actually covers the body color and the black starts at the bottom of the molding.  thank you so much for the pics!  Now I want to find a car with white billboards and see what they did with those!
