Slap Stik or Not...
« on: March 01, 2006 - 08:19:21 AM »
Guys - since this board now seems to be drawing more and more serious resto folks I wanted to ask about the auto shifter bezels for early 70 built Challengers, Cuda and Barracudas. My very preliminary look at three early built (spd Sept/Oct 69) E-bodies show that they do not have the word Slap Stik on the bezel lens. Please take a minute to check your car and post the finding. Thanks! :feedback:

My car has a build date of Sept. 29, 1969, and Slap Stik is on the lens. Hope this helps!

My car was an early 1970 build, and it has the slap-stck on it. I have seen the non-slap-stick bezels for sale though. I just never gave it any thought as to when or where that one was used.  :screwy:

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply! So maybe it was the two vendor deal or QA problems with a supplier? Anyone have another October SPD car that could respond? :worshippy
