Wondering just how many members are from Wisconsin
« on: February 16, 2003 - 11:15:16 PM »
Hey, I was just wondering how many others come from the Frozen Tundra state or the Upper Peninsula.  Also, does anybody know of wrecking/junkyards here in WI or close by?  Perferably no more than two hours away from the Green Bay area.  Thanks

;) Sorry I can't help you with the info., and I'm not from or live in Wisconsin now. But I had to say that I did live in Wisconsin Rapids and West Bend for a few years, loved it there, especially the Wisconsin Rapids area, nice friendly people who love and take care of the enviornment, virtually no litter. People had personal pride and dignity. But damn does it get cold up there, my first winter there the middle two weeks of January the actual high temp. was -15 degrees.

WSM, yeah Wisconsin is an alright state, but where I live it's just too boring for a 17 year old.  Then what really tops it off on my list is the cold weather.  I'm the kind that needs to be in a desert in AZ or the warm sun in SoCal.  I have to laugh, today has been our "hottest" day since summer ended; we hit over the 30* mark.  People didn't know what to do today.  I actually saw a few people on the way back from school with their windows down!!!!  Only another year in this area of WI and I'll be off to college somewhere in the Madison area. 8)

;D Madison huh,? I like the Badgers - but the BUCKEYES ROCK !! I realize your youth "drives" you to "find something better", but you'll probably come to realize you live in a very special place now. I really meant what I said, I loved living in Wisconsin. And the fishing was great too!,lol.

Hey Lemonboy, I'd like to get to an all MoPar car show, but I don't know if I can pull it off.  I live on the border of the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin, so things really get cold up here.  Today was another heat wave at 35*. Whoohoo!!! ;D  Anyways, about the largest car show I've been to took place in Downers Grove, Il.  It had some cool cars there, but not enough MoPars.  I saw a sweet Superbird there and a few highly modified Vipers :D  I'd like to live somewhere in the West eventually.  I've been to about 43 or 44 of the 48 inland states and I've just loved the Western coast.  It must be the Californian girls or something!

I don't suppose that the night you were in Downer's Grove was a Friday night?? Over the summer, several towns in the area hold cruises... there's a cruise night some where every night of the week over the summer except Sunday's and Monday's... Granted, there's only a few Mopar's at each... but they do have a Mopar Night at each of them, and you can bet we flood the place out with 'em!!  ;D ;D ;D I really prefer Wheaton, as it is laid out a little better and has more room for cars... gimme a holler when it gets closer to the time, I'll get you the schedule and you come on down for the Mopar Night in Wheaton!!

Actually, it was a Friday night.  I have cousins that live there, so whenever I visit there in the summer, usually two weeks, I go to the cruise night and showing to look at the many cool American muscle.  I'm not really familiar with Wheaton, Il.  Where is that in relation to either Downers Grove and Neponset?  Those are the two major places I go when I'm around Illinois.

Never heard of Neponset???? Where's that?... you sure it's not Naperville....?? That's where I am...Basically,... Downer's Grove is on one side, then Naperville is in the middle, and Wheaton is on the other side...

Neponset is near the Quad Cities, by the Iowa border.  Maybe you've heard of Sheffield.  Yeah, I think I know where Wheaton is.

70vert, how was the show put on by Koller Dodge?  I'm really trying to get down there again, since I'm always in DG for the fourth of July.  When does that show take place at Koller Dodge?  The next time I'm in Downers Grove, I'll be going to Koller Dodge to check out what they have for my Challenger. :)  I've never even been there and I've been going to DG for as long as I can remember!

It's a really good show. About 300-350 cars. It's held at Naperville High School in May. The swap meet was pretty small but there were some different cars there.
