'68 Monaco 500

First off, I don't have any pics of this car. I noticed it when I was looking through a junk yard a couple years ago. I saw that it had the 500 emblems, so I took a look inside to see if it still had the console( not council or counsel). To my surprise, everything inside was untouched, and it was a 4 spd!!! Shifter and console and bucket seats were all still there. I asked the guy about it, thinking he might want a couple hundred bucks for it. He said that it was rare and he wanted 4K!!! He told me that it has the original 440 motor still in it. My question is, would this car have came with a Dana 60 rear?? Since it came with a 440 and 4 spd, it should have a dana, right? The car has been sitting for at least 15 years, so will need a total restoration. Is it worth $4,000?? Pretty rare, i would think.

Any C body 4 speed is rare !!   Maybe a good diversion for you with a little of the Challenger money ??

Here is a pic of the car. I looked at the vin, and it's a 383 car. Not a 440 like the guy says. I talked to him today, he still has all those cars in the barn, plus about 300-400 cars out in the yard, and talks like he doesn't want to sell anything!! The city has been on him and his dad to clean the place up, but he just wants WAY too much monet for his stuff. His loss, when he looses his battle with the city and they crush all his cars and give him fair scrap price for them!! Some people!!!

Really too many to list!! He doesn't have anything that is super special, but alot of 60's stuff, B'cudas,Satellites,runners,chargers,big chryslers,mustangs, Impalas, ChevyII, also lots of stuff from the 50's.  I bought my '71 Runner from this guy because I really wanted it and it was a pretty good deal, but everything else that he has he wants 4-5K for them and they are basically junk yard finds!! Everytime I talk to him, he says how he is going to start selling them on Ebay, but that is just not going to happen. he mentioned about selling everything off as a whole package, but I seriously doubt that will ever happen either!! I'm through talking to him
